SYLVANIA, Ohio (WTVG) – The city of Sylvania\u2019s Public Service Department is inviting community members to a public open house for phase two of its Downtown Transportation Improvements Project.<\/p>\n
The open house will be held in the Sylvania City Council Chambers on Jan. 13 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Organizers will display planned improvements for the second block of Main St. between Maplewood Ave. and Erie St. <\/p>\n
Planned improvements to be presented on include:<\/p>\n
Expanding on-street parkingWidening sidewalksADA improvements and complianceReducing speeds by adding a mid-block crosswalkStreetscape beautification<\/p>\n
This open house is the opportunity for Sylvania community members to see the proposed improvements, ask questions and engage with the city\u2019s design team. <\/p>\n
