BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. – Lehigh Valley Congressman Ryan Mackenzie is marking one year in office Monday.<\/p>\n
He and his staff hosted a news conference in Northampton County to talk about some of their accomplishments.<\/p>\n
Congressman Mackenzie didn’t just bring out his staff. He brought out a group of constituents Monday as well to talk about how his office helped them solve a variety of different issues over the past year.<\/p>\n
We heard people thank Congressman Mackenzie for large accomplishments like securing federal grants and small things like one woman thanking him for helping her son get a passport so he didn’t miss their family vacation.<\/p>\n
Mackenzie says his office has responded to more than 120,000 call, emails, and letters over the past year, and his staff have been able to help a lot of people.<\/p>\n
“Just in the past year, we’ve been able to resolve over 5500 cases for individuals, and return $10.3 million to our local community. Very significant, and when you look around the country, we’re near the top of the charts in each of those categories, and even competitive with some U.S. Senators,”\u00a0Mackenzie said.<\/p>\n
