A male under the age of 18 died from gunshot wounds in a restaurant just off Temple University’s campus on Monday afternoon, police said.<\/p>\n
Police were called to the intersection of North 12th Street and Montgomery Avenue at around 5:15 p.m. for a report of a gunshot victim, police said. <\/p>\n
The unidentified juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:24 p.m., police said.<\/p>\n
According to an email sent to students, the shooting happened inside the bathroom of a restaurant. <\/p>\n
Officials said that a person of interest was captured on camera running away from the scene after the shooting. <\/p>\n
NBC10’s Johnny Archer was at the scene to see the investigation focusing on the inside of a Chipotle, but it is still not clear where the shooting took place. <\/p>\n
Students at Temple University were being warned to avoid a section near campus because of the police activity there.<\/p>\n
The Temple University Police Department is responding to the investigation being led by the Philadelphia Police Department, according to a spokesperson for the school. <\/p>\n
No arrests or motives have been announced. <\/p>\n
