<\/p>\nProminent civil rights attorney Ben Crump will be the featured speaker at the 15th annual Dr. King Awards Dinner in Erie on Jan. 17.<\/p>\n
The theme for this year\u2019s dinner is \u201cInjustice Anywhere Is A Threat To Justice Everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump spoke to a crowd at Second Baptist Church in Erie on Aug. 7, pledging to fight for justice in the shooting death of Marchello D. Woodard.<\/p>\n
Where will the dinner take place?<\/p>\n
The dinner will start at 6 p.m. at the Ambassador Hotel & Conference Center, 7794 Peach Street.\u00a0Ticket purchasing options are closed as the event is sold out. Tickets were $75 per person or $600 for a table of 10.<\/p>\n
About Ben Crump<\/p>\n
Nationally known for representing families in high-profile police killing cases, Crump represented the families of George Floyd<\/a> and Breonna Taylor<\/a>.<\/p>\n Crump also came to Erie\u2019s Second Baptist Church in August to stand beside the family of Marchello D. Woodard, 43, a parolee who was fatally shot in July on Erie\u2019s east side.<\/p>\n Kevin J.
