{"id":85734,"date":"2026-01-13T18:46:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T18:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/85734\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T18:46:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T18:46:16","slug":"water-service-restored-to-mccandless-shopping-center-after-water-main-break-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/85734\/","title":{"rendered":"Water service restored to McCandless shopping center after water main break \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">MCCANDLESS, Pa. \u2014 UPDATE 11:40 a.m.: West View Water Authority said water service has been restored.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Work on the water main break is still ongoing. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">____________________<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Initial coverage: <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">A water main break in McCandless has led to a shopping center and several other businesses being without water. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The break is on Route 19 near 9710 Perry Highway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">West View Water Authority said that a shutdown is in progress from Ingomar Road to Pine Creek Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The Pine Creek shopping center will be out of water, along with the Pediatric Alliance, The Dog Stop, Anytime Fitness, the Pennzoil Station and First Commonwealth Bank.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">It\u2019s unknown how long repairs will take. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">This is a developing story.
