SCRANTON, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE\/WYOU) \u2014 A new space-themed exhibit just landed in Scranton. Whether you\u2019re a budding astronomer or just curious about the cosmos, there is no doubt this immersive display will leave you star-struck.<\/p>\n

The Hubble Space Telescope: New Views of the Universe was unveiled at the Everhart Museum in Scranton on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

For the past two and a half years, curator James Lansing has requested the exhibit. He says he is thrilled the exhibit landed in the Electric City after 20 years of touring the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I think we have to keep space at the forefront of people\u2019s thinking, and that we have to keep budgeting space technology and space travel, and this exhibit puts it in people\u2019s faces, and it\u2019s not just for kids. It\u2019s also for adults. I think everyone will like it,\u201d Everhart Museum Curator James Lansing explained.<\/p>\n

Josh Danna is visiting his mother in Elmhurst. He tells 28\/22 News that the exhibit further supports his belief that when we look at the stars, the size of our universe is larger than we can imagine.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou see things in them as you look at them. There was one that was really cool. It looked like two circles intertwining, and an eye in the middle, and I\u2019d like it\u2019s funny how you pick out imagery in these things that you know what it is,\u201d Danna said.<\/p>\n

Danna also tells 28\/22 News that, even as a teacher, he learned something new while walking through the exhibit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe web telescope uses more infrared light so we can see farther into our expanding universe, which is really, really neat to see,\u201d Danna added.<\/p>\n

Lansing says the display might have reached its final destination. He says budget constraints in Washington could prevent the exhibit from proceeding with its next exploration.<\/p>\n

The exhibit will run at the\u00a0Everhart Museum<\/a>\u00a0from now through July. Admission is free for the public to view the display.<\/p>\n
