Reach Cyber Charter School Students gathered at the Electric City Trolley Museum to build Rube Goldberg machines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">They are inventions designed to complete simple tasks in the most creative way possible. It\u2019s for the online school\u2019s annual winter STEM challenge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Students from kindergarten through high school worked in teams to design, test, and fine-tune their machines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link  yahoo-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/trooper-explains-difficulties-solving-cold-233451578.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Trooper explains difficulties of solving cold cases;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Trooper explains difficulties of solving cold cases <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">While sharpening engineering and problem-solving skills along the way.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI\u2019d like them to walk away knowing that it\u2019s okay to mess up, it\u2019s okay to ask for help, it\u2019s okay to improvise, it\u2019s okay to be creative, and it\u2019s okay to like STEM,\u201d Reach Cyber Charter School Robotics Coordinator Karen McGahee said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Winners from each grade level will be announced next month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
