Valley Community Library in Peckville and the Lackawanna County Children\u2019s Library in Scranton ushered in 2026 with Noon Year\u2019s Eve parties on Dec. 31. The midday celebrations featured a countdown to noon, giving kids an opportunity to ring in the new year even if they didn\u2019t stay up until midnight.<\/p>\n

At the Valley Community Library, children read books about New Year\u2019s, made \u201ctoast\u201d and participated in a New Year bingo scavenger hunt in addition to coloring and dancing.
