\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Mary Lou Phillips, 73, of Scranton, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon at home.<\/p>\n
\nBorn in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Barone and Rose M. DiBiasi Barone. She was a graduate of Scranton High, and prior to her retirement she worked at the Scranton Counseling Center and Association for the Blind.<\/p>\n
\nMary Lou was known for her warm spirit, love of music, favorites Peter Cetera, Chicago, Rod Stewart, Trans-Siberian orchestra and loved sharing photos of her grandchildren. She touched our lives with her kindness and unwavering love for those around her.<\/p>\n
\nSurviving are her sons, Mark Friedman and spouse Lisa Friedman, Neil Friedman and spouse Julie Friedman; her sister, Rosanne Carty and spouse Harry Carty; and her beloved grandchildren Philip, Alexandra, Benjamin, and Samantha.<\/p>\n
\nShe was also preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Barone, and her mother, Rose Barone.<\/p>\n
\nA Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith St. in Dunmore.<\/p>\n
\nPrivate interment, Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton.<\/p>\n
\nThere will be no public calling hours.<\/p>\n
