HARRISBURG, Pa. – A Pennsylvania state senator who represents parts of Berks and Montgomery counties announced Monday she is seeking reelection.<\/p>\n
in a news release announcing her candidacy, Pennycuick said she is a U.S. Army combat veteran who served in the State House before going to the State Senate.<\/p>\n
\u201cI didn\u2019t run for office to be a politician,\u201d Senator Pennycuick said. \u201cI stepped forward because I believe service carries an obligation \u2013 to listen, to lead responsibly, and to improve people\u2019s lives. That belief shaped my service in the Army, and it guides my work every day in the State Senate.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pennycuick has represented the 24th district since 2023.
