District Judge Kyle B. Miller, District 31-1-08, administered the oath of office.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">At the reorganization meeting, Board of Commissioners President Debra J. Brinton was reelected president by a 4-0 vote by her peers. Karol nominated Brinton, seconded by Commissioner Heather Lipkin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Lipkin was elected as board of commissioners vice president by a 4-0 vote. Lipkin was nominated by Commissioner Alok Patnaik, seconded by Karol.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Patnaik was elected President Pro Tempore by a 4-0 vote. Patnaik was nominated by Brinton, seconded by Lipkin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">A commissioner to represent Ward 4 is to be appointed. Rodney Conn, who represented Ward 4, did not seek reelection. It is believed two applicants to represent Ward 4 were interviewed during an executive session 6 p.m. Jan. 8 before the regular 7 p.m. meeting. An appointment could be made at the next commissioners meeting, 7 p.m. Jan. 22.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Appointments made by resolution by 4-0 votes at the Jan. 5 meeting include:<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Salisbury Township Manager Cathy Gorman, township secretary<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Shemaine Wilson, assistant township secretary<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Tamara Smarch, township treasurer<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Tammy Hensinger, assistant township treasurer<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Gross McGinley, LLP, township solicitor<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Masano-Bradley, township conflict solicitor<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Keystone Consulting Engineers, township engineer<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Hanover Engineering Associates, township alternate engineer<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Scott Beiber, Lehigh Soils and Wetlands, sewage enforcement officer (SEOs); Alternate SEOs: Ian Farrell, Lehigh Soils and Wetlands and Chris Tayloe, Luke Eggert, Jacob Schray, Hanover Engineering<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Barry Isett &amp; Associates, Building Code Official; Michele Lopez Gudino and Kerry Rabold, Alternates<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Kyle Watson, fire marshal<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Kerry Rabold, flood plain administrator<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Kerry Rabold, community development director<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Appointments made by motion and a 4-0 vote were:<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Jessica Klocek, planning commission, nominated by Karol, seconded by Lipkin<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Richard Hassick, planning commission, nominated by Lipkin, seconded by Karol<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">A Ward 4 representative is to be nominated upon appointment of a Ward 4 commissioner<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Mark Waverka, zoning hearing board, nominated by Lipkin, seconded by Karol<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Michael Taylor, civil service commission, nominated by Patnaik, seconded by Lipkin<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">A Ward 4 representative to the civil service commission is to be nominated upon appointment of a Ward 4 commissioner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">A Ward 3 representative to the vacancy board is open.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Joshua Buckallew, environmental advisory council, nominated by Lipkin, seconded by Karol.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Maria Rodale, environmental advisory council, nominated by Karol, seconded by Lipkin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">A Ward 1 representative to the building code board of appeals is open.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">A Ward 4 representative to the recreation advisory committee is to be nominated upon appointment of a Ward 4 commissioner.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">A Ward 2 representative to the recreation advisory committee is vacant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">Before the Jan. 8 meeting, two public hearings were held after which commissioners voted 4-0 to approve:<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">&#8211; Vacating a portion of East Trout Road between Gilmore Street and South Halstead and vacating a portion of an unnamed right of way behind 1801 Broadway.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">&#8211; An ordinance to designate sections of Vortman Avenue, Salisbury Road, Ash Street and Vermont Avenue as parking prohibited on one side from every November to March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">&#8211; An ordinance establishing a township sewer lateral inspection and repair program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article__body\">January Salisbury Township Municipal meetings in the meeting room of the municipal building, 2900 S.
