69 News is introducing a new segment that we are calling “Make a Difference Monday.”<\/p>\n
At the start of each week, we’ll showcase something positive that you can do in your community.<\/p>\n
We’re kicking it off with The Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley.<\/p>\n
It’s a nonprofit that provides families facing pediatric cancer with free programs, along with financial assistance, emotional support, and social connection.<\/p>\n
It serves more than 400 families in the region through programs like Kids Konnect, Moms’ and Dads’ Night Out, mental health support groups, art and music therapy, and Camp Smile.<\/p>\n
The foundation also has a bill-paying fund to help families with everyday needs, like groceries and gas.<\/p>\n
And it’s building a hub to create room to host more events. That’s expected to be finished in the spring.<\/p>\n
But to do all of this, it relies on the generosity of others.<\/p>\n

You can make monetary donations on its website<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n You can also volunteer at fundraising events like Camp Smile<\/a>, which is a free, one-week camp in the summer for patients or siblings of children with cancer.<\/p>\n We’re going to highlight ways you can make a difference every Monday!<\/p>\n
