The Springfield\u2013Upper Darby football game was postponed Friday following a bomb threat on the Upper Darby campus.<\/p>\n
Upper Darby Police, which referred to it as a case of swatting, said it \u201cremains an active investigation\u201d in a post on Facebook, adding, \u201cwhile details are limited, we want to assure our community that there is no active threat to students, staff, or the public. The safety of our schools is our top priority.\u201d<\/p>\n
The incident caused an evacuation of the school Friday afternoon, per the Upper Darby School District\u2019s official social media accounts, and an early dismissal of students. That led to the cancellation of after-school activities for the day.<\/p>\n
The game, originally set for 5 p.m., is tentatively rescheduled for Monday at 3:45 at Upper Darby.<\/p>\n
