Streets in the center city are lined with hand-carved ice sculptures.<\/p>\n<p>The annual event kicks off on Friday at 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">28\/22 News reporter Heidi Martens has more of what the annual ice fest will offer from Scranton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">28\/22 News is in downtown Scranton, where everyone is getting ready for the fifth annual downtown ice festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link  yahoo-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/wawa-expands-further-luzerne-county-001215619.html\" data-ylk=\"slk:Wawa expands further into Luzerne County;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas;outcm:mb_qualified_link;_E:mb_qualified_link;ct:story;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Wawa expands further into Luzerne County <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">There are more than 50 ice sculptures that are scattered across 30 blocks of downtown Scranton! Organizers are welcoming everyone to join them downtown for some frigid fun!<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">This year\u2019s ice sculpture theme is Toys from all Generations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The ice festival starts at 6:00 p.m. and continues into the evening hours.
