{"id":89595,"date":"2026-01-17T18:46:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T18:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/89595\/"},"modified":"2026-01-17T18:46:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-17T18:46:11","slug":"fugitive-found-in-attic-of-pittsburgh-home-sheriff-says","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/89595\/","title":{"rendered":"Fugitive found in attic of Pittsburgh home, sheriff says"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"rounded-lg\" style=\"color:transparent\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/6a9d6e8720366e405e399eaa3b40ed15.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">A man with multiple warrants was arrested Friday after being found by detectives in the attic of a Pittsburgh home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The Allegheny County Sheriff\u2019s Office says Davon James, 32, has been a fugitive for the last month after probation violation warrants were issued in two cases that involved guilty pleas to firearms violations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">James also had an active warrant out of Pittsburgh for several charges, including strangulation, simple assault and robbery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Detectives reportedly learned this week that James was inside a home on Hubbard Street. They went to the home on Friday and were permitted to search for James.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Initially, detectives didn\u2019t locate him. But, they noticed an attic access opening in the second-floor ceiling.
