Top swimmers turned in outstanding efforts at the Ernie Shartle Invitational at Tunkhannock High School on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
Scranton Prep\u2019s Rebecca Oakes won the 100-yard butterfly and the 100 freestyle, and contributed to wins in the 200 medley relay and the 200 free relay in the girls meet.<\/p>\n
Scranton Prep teammate Eva Kaszuba set a meet record in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 6.12 seconds. Abington Heights\u2019 Hadley Pallman won the 200 free and the 100 back. Scranton Prep\u2019s Ella Schofield won the 200 individual medley. Elk Lake\u2019s Brynn Warriner won the 50 free. Hazleton Area\u2019s Lia Ochs won the 500 free.<\/p>\n
In the boys meet, Abington Heights\u2019 Jason Casper won the 500 free in a meet record time of 4:52.40, won the 100 fly, and was part of two meet-record setting relay teams. He joined Geoff Stanton, Derek Williams, and Charles Voytek to set a mark in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:39.07. Casper, Stanton, Williams, and Judah Donnell established a meet record in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:29.23.<\/p>\n
Williams tied a meet record in the 50 free. He won the sprint in 21.83. Scranton Prep\u2019s Lukas Iannone set a meet record in the 100 back with a time of 53.21.<\/p>\n
West Scranton\u2019s Roy Ayala had wins in the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke.\u00a0Dallas\u2019 Chase Kresge won the 200 free. Tunkhannock\u2019s Jaden Baltrusaitis won the 100 free.<\/p>\n
