Cornerback According to the NFL transactions page, <a href=\"https:\/\/steelersnow.com\/steelers-make-two-roster-moves-ahead-of-wild-card-game\/\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">D\u2019Shawn Jamison<\/a> signed a reserve\/future contract on Saturday, remaining with the team that he spent all of this season with.<\/p>\n<p>Jamison was elevated from the Steelers\u2019 practice squad ahead of last week\u2019s Wild Card playoff loss to the Houston Texans. He was called up three other times, playing on the Steelers\u2019 special teams units against the Cincinnati Bengals (Nov. 16), Cleveland Browns (Dec. 28) and Baltimore Ravens (Jan. 4). He got work covering kicks and punts, along with running one kick back himself, gaining 20 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Jamison turned in a solid effort in the preseason, tallying eight tackles, a quarterback hit and a forced fumble, but didn\u2019t make the Steelers\u2019 53-man roster. He was signed to the practice squad not long after being released.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"788\" height=\"536\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/10-23-2025-Steelers-Practice-8299-scaled-e1765652856306.jpg\" alt=\"Pittsburgh Steelers\" class=\"wp-image-148223\"  \/>Pittsburgh Steelers defensive backs Brandin Echols, D\u2019Shawn Jamison and James Pierre at practice on Oct. 23, 2025. \u2014 Ed Thompson \/ Steelers Now<\/p>\n<p>Jamison initially joined the Steelers in September 2024 and spent that whole season on the practice squad. He signed a reserve\/future contract with Mike Tomlin\u2019s team at the end of last season, too.<\/p>\n<p>Before landing in Pittsburgh, Jamison was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49ers after the 2023 NFL Draft. He also spent time with the Carolina Panthers, with whom he played in 15 games and started two as a rookie.<\/p>\n<p>Jamison, a Houston native, was 247Sports\u2019 No. 103-ranked overall recruit in the 2018 class. He chose to play for the Texas Longhorns, appearing in 60 games during his career in Austin. He posted six interceptions in burnt orange, defended 17 total passes, recovered two fumbles and forced another.
