Molly R. Grove, of Mountain Top, was among the freshman, sophomore and junior students with the highest grade-point averages of their class, each representing one of the University of Scranton\u2019s three colleges, who recently received awards for academic excellence.<\/p>\n
Recipients of the Frank O\u2019Hara Awards, named in honor of the late administrator who served 53 years at the university, were honored at a ceremony Dec. 3 at the Weinberg Memorial Library. Awards were based on grades from the 2024-25 academic year.<\/p>\n
Grove received the O\u2019Hara Award for academic achievement for her freshman year in the College of Arts and Sciences. She is a member of the university\u2019s Special Jesuit Liberal Arts Program and the undergraduate University Honors Program. She is in her sophomore year at Scranton and is pursuing a triple major in history, political science and philosophy. She is a dean\u2019s list student and a recipient of the university\u2019s Dean\u2019s Scholarship and the 2025-26 Sabatino Scholarship for sophomores studying history. She also volunteers with animal shelters and is a contributor and editor for the University\u2019s Esprit literary magazine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Molly R.
