“Lake effect snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches, with the highest amounts in the far northeastern part of the county. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph,” explains the weather service. “The heaviest lake effect snow, with snowfall rates up to 1 inch per hour at times, should occur Monday evening.”<\/p>\n
“Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches,” says the weather service. “Slow down and use caution while traveling. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.”<\/p>\n
