Marching hand-and-hand, young and old took to the streets in Southside Bethlehem to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.\u2019s legacy during Monday\u2019s Dr. Martin Luther King Civil Rights Movement March. <\/p>\n

Participants gathered in front of the Comfort Suites and St. Bernard\u2019s Beneficial Society & Home of Good Samaritans to start the march. <\/p>\n

They marched Broadway to Carlton Avenue, through slush to Martin Luther King Park<\/a>, where memorials to King and wife Coretta Scott King are located.<\/p>\n

A short ceremony was held at Martin Luther King Park where guests reflected on King\u2019s legacy and the importance of continuing to keep what he fought for alive. <\/p>\n

Bethlehem Mayor J. William Reynolds and state Rep. Steve Samuelson, who have been participating in the march for years, reflected on King\u2019s legacy. <\/p>\n

\u201cMartin Luther King\u2019s message was the idea to make the world a better place, we need to understand that progress comes when we are working together for other people,\u201d said Reynolds. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we see inequality we shall overcome,\u201d said Samuelson. <\/p>\n
