Several crashes have caused delays on highways throughout Northeast Ohio on Monday. <\/p>\n

BOSTON HEIGHTS, Ohio \u2014 Be careful out there! We have some slippery road conditions as snow continues moving through Northeast Ohio<\/a> — and the winter weather is also coupled with a number of crashes.<\/p>\n

The latest crash is in Erie County.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Ohio State Highway Patrol now reports that state Route 2 in both directions near state Route 269 is closed due to a multi-vehicle crash.\u00a0<\/p>\n

At 2:29 p.m., the OSHP announced that the westbound lanes of SR 2 were closed. Just over an hour later, troopers said because of a crash that had occurred on the eastbound side, the roadway will now be shut down in both directions on SR 2 for the Edison Bridge.<\/p>\n

No injuries have been reported.<\/p>\n

The latest update from the OSHP just after 4 p.m. stated that troopers are “on scene and working on clearing everything so ODOT can address the roads before reopening.”<\/p>\n

The following roadways were closed earlier Monday due to crashes — but both have since reopened:<\/p>\n

Route 8 South near the Ohio Turnpike in Summit County.Route 8 North near the Ohio Turnpike in Summit County.I-76 East at state Route 14 in Portage County.I-77 North between Ghent and Wheatley roads in Summit County. <\/p>\n

The map at the top of this story shows the number of traffic-related incidents that were happening throughout Northeast Ohio as of 11:18 a.m.<\/p>\n

These traffic troubles come as multiple counties are now under a snow emergency — including Erie and Huron counties, which are under a Level 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Several crashes have caused delays on highways throughout Northeast Ohio on Monday.
