Philly\u2019s tattoo and punk communities are coming together for a loud, laid-back, and unapologetically fun kickoff to one of the city\u2019s most iconic annual events. On Thursday, January 22, Tattooed Mom ( 530 South St.) will host the official Tattoo Punks\u2019 Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Festival Kick Off Party<\/a>, celebrating the start of the 27th Annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Festival in true TMom\u2019s fashion.<\/p>\n

Running from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM, this no-cover, all-are-welcome party invites artists, fans, and locals alike to hang out, meet tattooers from around the world, and toast to a weekend dedicated to ink, art, and community.<\/p>\n

As part of Tattooed Mom\u2019s beloved Pierogi Thursday, guests can fuel up with 75\u00a2 pierogis all night, along with $3 Tecates and $4 local draft beers until 11 PM. The kitchen stays open late\u2014until 12:30 AM\u2014serving up TMom\u2019s classics like cheesesteaks (including vegan options), BBQ wings, and fully loaded tater tots.<\/p>\n

The night turns up another notch with a special edition of Punk Rock Karaoke, hosted by Yak, running from 8:00 PM to 12:30 AM (sign-ups begin at 7 PM). Whether you\u2019re channeling your inner punk legend or just cheering from the sidelines, it\u2019s a staple TMom\u2019s experience with an extra tattoo-fueled edge.<\/p>\n

The kickoff party is co-hosted by Tattoo Punks, an international collective of tattoo artists known for bringing together global talent and underground culture. After years of mutual admiration, the partnership with Tattooed Mom\u2019s has become a tradition\u2014setting the tone for the festival weekend with camaraderie, cheap eats, and a packed bar.<\/p>\n

Artists from across the globe will be in the building, making this a rare chance to connect with tattooers before the festival officially begins.<\/p>\n
