CHESTNUT HILL (WPVI) — Balance Gym has transformed into Balance Life.<\/p>\n

There are still the group classes and personal training Balance is known for, but now there is a full medical team to a primary care physician, acupuncturists, a physical therapist and nutritionists.<\/p>\n

Owner Amy Carolla says she wanted to create a place where everything needed for health and wellness was under one roof.<\/p>\n

With the expansion, the gym more than doubled in size, adding a Pilates Reformer studio, a new cardio zone and recovery area where you can book a stretch session, and a new Techno Gym Checkup, a tool that calculates your wellness age.<\/p>\n

Through a battery of tests, the machine identifies your strengths and your weaknesses, giving you a starting point to get stronger.<\/p>\n

And, for the first time since its founding in 2008, Balance is an open membership gym, meaning people can come in and work out on their own.<\/p>\n
