Two more lottery players have claimed $1 million prizes from the New York Lottery\u2019s Million Dollar Raffle, including a family from Upstate New York that split their winnings three ways.<\/p>\n
The Jackson family of Altamont claimed one of 15 top prizes awarded in the raffle, which commemorated the Erie Canal bicentennial. Daniel Jackson purchased the winning ticket and split the $1 million with his son, James, and wife, Lisa. Each family member received a lump sum payment of $217,002 after required withholdings.<\/p>\n
Patricia Harmon of the Bronx also claimed a $1 million prize from the same drawing. She received a lump sum payment of $612,247 after withholdings.<\/p>\n
The Jackson family\u2019s winning ticket was purchased at a Stewart\u2019s Shops located at 1100 High Bridge Rd. in Schenectady. Harmon bought her ticket at Kings Gift Shop in the Bronx. Both retail locations received a $5,000 bonus for selling top prize tickets.<\/p>\n
The promotional raffle selected 15 tickets randomly to win $1 million cash prizes. Other winning tickets were sold in Chenango, Dutchess, Genesee, New York, Queens, Suffolk and Westchester counties.<\/p>\n
