Community theaters in Swoyersville and Scranton are preparing events, with one beginning Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cMurder at the Music Box: An Inspector Falls,\u201d an audience participation mystery and pasta dinner, is Friday through Sunday. A murder takes place in a 1936 English manor drawing room. The police are called to investigate, and the audience is invited to interrogate the suspects.<\/p>\n

Prizes will be awarded. The audience can fill out a solution sheet to guess the murderer and the motive.<\/p>\n

The cast members are Harry Powell, Jennifer Frey Abdalla, Kevin Burke, Ari Gardner, Branda Angel, Matthew Murphy, Dana Jackson Burke and Alison Scott.<\/p>\n

Friday and Saturday performances are at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6. The Sunday show is at 1:30 p.m., with doors opening at 1.<\/p>\n

Diva Theater has two events coming up at the Olde Brick Theatre, 126 W. Market St., Scranton.<\/p>\n

Its quarterly celebration of local writers, \u201cPage to Stage,\u201d is Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. The spotlight is on the father-daughter musical writing team of Orlando \u201cLonnie\u201d Barone and Cari Barone Tellis. Featured writers are novelist David Hicks, playwright Paul Miscavage, songwriter Christopher Alu, filmmaker Erika Clay and fiction writer Lori Green.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s for anyone who is interested in hearing good writing,\u201d said Marcie Herman Riebe, who handles publicity for Diva Theater.\u00a0There are adult themes.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $5 at the door.<\/p>\n

Next up, Diva Theater will stage a comedy, \u201cIncorruptible!\u201d by Michael Hollinger, Nov. 7-9 and Nov. 14-16. It is set in the year 1250 A.D. in Priseaux, France, where the Dark Ages are very dark for the destitute monks of St. Foy, a saint who hasn\u2019t performed any miracles in a long time.<\/p>\n

The cast is Sam Falbo, Bob Balitski, Joe Palumbo, Jason Belack, Justin O\u2019Hearn, Letizia Cwikla, Betsy Seaforth and Meggie Roche. The director is Paige Balitski.<\/p>\n

Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m, and Sunday shows are at 2 p.m. General admission is $15. Student, senior and veteran tickets are $12.<\/p>\n
