{"id":91917,"date":"2026-01-20T20:00:17","date_gmt":"2026-01-20T20:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/91917\/"},"modified":"2026-01-20T20:00:17","modified_gmt":"2026-01-20T20:00:17","slug":"man-broke-into-pittsburgh-home-while-posing-as-an-ice-agent-police-say","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/91917\/","title":{"rendered":"Man broke into Pittsburgh home while posing as an ICE agent, police say"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">PITTSBURGH (WBOY) \u2014 A man has been arrested in Pittsburgh and is facing charges after police say he broke into a home while posing as an Immigration &amp; Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">According to a criminal complaint obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtae.com\/article\/man-accused-posing-ice-agent-allegheny-county\/70051847\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Pittsburgh ABC affiliate, WTAE,;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">Pittsburgh ABC affiliate, WTAE,<\/a> William Gregory, 35, is accused of entering a home in Pittsburgh\u2019s Beltzhoover neighborhood through a kitchen window and demanding that the family show their paperwork, all while weilding a knife.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\"><a class=\"link \" href=\"https:\/\/www.wboy.com\/news\/crime\/man-charged-after-wv-state-police-discover-3-separate-cases-showing-his-dna\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:Man charged after WV State Police discover 3 separate cases showing his DNA;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\"> Man charged after WV State Police discover 3 separate cases showing his DNA <\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">WTAE reported that Gregory threatened a juvenile, a 17-year-old boy, with a pocketknife while trying to steal a PlayStation console and the boy\u2019s phone. Police reported that the boy punched Gregory in the face, knocking him unconscious until police arrived on the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Gregory has been charged with ethnic intimidation and burglary and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
