Winds gusting as high as 40 mph will produce significant blowing and drifting with near whiteouts at times,” can be expected according to the weather service. “The lake effect snow band will slowly lift north this evening and weaken.”<\/p>\n
“Travel will be very difficult with snow covered roads. Areas of heavy snow and blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute,” adds the weather service. “Widespread accumulating snow will create difficult travel conditions.”<\/p>\n
