\t\t\tOBITUARY\t\t<\/p>\n
Richard J. Grant, 89, of Reading, passed away Monday, January 19th, at Spruce Manor, West Reading.<\/p>\n
Richard was born in Reading on August 25, 1936, a son of the late Teresa (Shannon) and Richard W. Grant and was the widower of May (Gantz) Grant.<\/p>\n
He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, then served in the U.S. Army for 20 years as a SFC and fought in the Vietnam War. He worked as a dye helper at Narrow Fabrics, Reading and also was a dock worker for Ames until retiring in 1994.<\/p>\n
Richard is survived by his two daughters, Debra Velez Ojeda, of Reading; Felicia Jones, of Womelsdorf; son, Robert W. Grant, husband of Mary, of Reading and four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Grant and sister, Mary Ellen Swartz.<\/p>\n
Viewing will be Thursday, January 22nd from 5 PM to 7 PM and Friday, January 23rd from 9 AM to 10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home. Religious service will be Friday, January 23rd at 10 AM at Feeney Funeral Home.<\/p>\n
Interment at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.<\/p>\n
