{"id":92642,"date":"2026-01-21T16:08:06","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T16:08:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/92642\/"},"modified":"2026-01-21T16:08:06","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T16:08:06","slug":"allegheny-county-airport-authority-extends-ceo-christina-cassotis-contract-through-2030-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/92642\/","title":{"rendered":"Allegheny County Airport Authority extends CEO Christina Cassotis\u2019 contract through 2030 \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Allegheny County Airport Authority President\/CEO Christina Cassotis will stay at least an extra two years beyond her contract with an extension approved by the authority board Friday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Cassotis\u2019 existing contract was set to run out Dec. 31, 2027, but with the board\u2019s unanimous approval it will run through Jan. 31, 2030. Cassotis has led the authority for 11 years. During that time, she has overseen the transition from the former hub to an airport that serves multiple carriers. She also built up resiliency at the airport through the creation of a microgrid.
