(WPVI) &#8212; Officials in the Lehigh Valley say they are evicting the Department of Homeland Security.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Lehigh County Controller Mark Pinsley said on Tuesday that the federal agency has been leasing office space at the Hamilton Financial Center in Allentown for three years, <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/news\/area\/lehighvalley\/lehigh-county\/were-going-to-deport-ice-lehigh-co-officials-issue-dhs-eviction-notice\/article_45c3425d-fd64-4980-8326-019d9b4480a0.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WFMZ-TV reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">But, the county says it has not  been paid a dime and, according to Pinsley, DHS owes $115,000 in back rent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">County Executive Josh Siegel says the presence of ICE is a threat to public safety and public trust.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">However, District Attorney Gavin Holihan says ICE does not work out of that Allentown office and that those federal agents help investigate human trafficking.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC eTIW sUzSN \">Neither the DHS nor ICE responded to a request for comment from <a class=\"zZygg UbGlr iFzkS qdXbA WCDhQ DbOXS tqUtK GpWVU iJYzE \" data-testid=\"prism-linkbase\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wfmz.com\/news\/area\/lehighvalley\/lehigh-county\/were-going-to-deport-ice-lehigh-co-officials-issue-dhs-eviction-notice\/article_45c3425d-fd64-4980-8326-019d9b4480a0.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WFMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright \u00a9 2026 WPVI-TV.
