(KYW) &#8211; Immigration and Customs Enforcement is getting the boot from Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lehigh County Executive Josh Siegel said the county is terminating the lease agreement with the Department of Homeland Security due to the agency\u2019s failure to pay rent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cAt the end of the day, they didn\u2019t pay their bills. They could say whatever they want, but I mean this is very clearly they haven\u2019t paid their bills in three years. We just found out and I am making sure that everyone knows about that,\u201d Siegel said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Siegel said other factors for terminating the lease include the DHS\u2019 reputation for public disorder around the country and that officials in Lehigh County refuse to accept \u201cblood money.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Lehigh County controller said ICE and the DHS owe more than $100,000 in unpaid rent for an Allentown office space the county owns.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Immigration and Customs Enforcement is getting the boot from a county-owned office space in...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/1769045366_206_PUGVYVM6ZBH6NETQIDK7S6QX2U.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"551\" \/>Immigration and Customs Enforcement is getting the boot from a county-owned office space in Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI can only make recommendations about policy, which is what I\u2019ve done.
