AMITY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The ribbon was cut Friday officially opening The Pointe at Douglassville.<\/p>\n
Ten luxury apartments and commercial spaces have been built at the site of what used to be the Ben Franklin Inn.<\/p>\n
Officials say the new building is eco-friendly, with solar panels providing 70% of the facility’s electricity and back-up capabilities.<\/p>\n
The project manager says there are many benefits to living or visiting here.<\/p>\n
“It’s very close to Philadelphia. We’re right along Route 422. And it is a hop skip and a jump right to the Philadelphia area,” said Tim Heffner, project manager.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Heffner says some of the apartments are still available.<\/p>\n
