He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Adamski Andreski.<\/p>\n<p>\nBorn on September 27th, 1942, in Dickson City, Walter was the son of the late Walter and Emma Zelno Andreski.<\/p>\n<p>\nWalter married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte Adamski Andreski, and together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage. They loved traveling the world and enjoyed many cruises. Among their most treasured memories was their pilgrimage to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia, and their meeting with Pope John Paul II.<\/p>\n<p>\nAn avid baseball player, Walter participated in many leagues and later coached Little League. He also enjoyed bowling and golf. In his younger years he served as an altar boy for many years at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Dickson City.<\/p>\n<p>\nWalter was a 1960 graduate of Dickson City High School and earned a degree in Physics and Engineering from the University of Scranton. He worked at Weston Instruments and spent more than 30 years as a Field Service Engineer for Honeywell.<\/p>\n<p>\nHe proudly served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1966 aboard the USS Forrest Sherman, part of the Sixth Fleet, during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Cyprus Conflict.<\/p>\n<p>\nA man of deep faith, Walter was a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus (St. Padre Pio Assembly 2768) and a Third Degree member of the Sacred Heart of Mary (Jermyn Council 7622). He was a member of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Dickson City and a member of the Holy Name Society.<\/p>\n<p>\nWalter was a devoted father to two sons and a proud grandfather of seven grandchildren. He is survived by his son David Andreski and wife Carin, Fairfield, CT, and their children, Eric, Emma, and Tristan, and his son Jeffrey Andreski and wife Sarah, Rumson, NJ, and their children, Avery, JB, Devan, and Jake. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>\nHe was preceded in death by his brother, Henry Andreski, formerly of Whippany, NJ.<\/p>\n<p>\nFriends and Family may visit from 9:00 \u2013 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23rd at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, 601 Dundaff Street, Dickson City, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary\u2019s Visitation Church, Dickson City. Entombment will follow at St. Mary\u2019s Visitation Cemetery Mausoleum, with full Military Honors.<\/p>\n<p>\nIn lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pro Life PA, 400 Wyoming Ave, Suite 110, Scranton, PA, 18503, or St. Joseph\u2019s Center, 2010 Adams Ave, Scranton, PA 18519.
