I\u2019m excited to tell my friends, \u2018Sure, I\u2019ll be happy to go to Florida with you, or wherever.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the end of January, Matheson will be shuttering the custom photo print shop\u2019s store in Exeter Township and switching to an online-only model.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"lazyautosizes lazyload\" alt=\"Sheri Matheson, owner of MotoPhoto, will be retiring and closing the store at 150 Sunset Manor Drive, Exeter Township. (BILL UHRICH\/MEDIANEWS GROUP)<\/p>\n<p>The store\u2019s website, <a href=\"http:\/\/motophotoreading.com\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">motophotoreading.com<\/a>, will remain operational, but instead of offering in-store pickup, all orders will be shipped to customers\u2019 homes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m also going to make myself available for projects,\u201d Matheson said, referring to helping customers with photo books or scanning orders if people want photos digitized.<\/p>\n<p>She said she has a few vendors she is using for people who want to digitize items like old reels or videos.<\/p>\n<p>MotoPhoto\u2019s website offers standard photo prints as well other printing formats, from gift staples like mugs, coasters and calendars to decorative wall hangings, collages, and even yard signs.<\/p>\n<p>Matheson said the turnaround time for photo printing will be around two days.<\/p>\n<p>Matheson bought the business in June 1997 and initially operated it in the former Promenade Shopping Center in Exeter.<\/p>\n<p>When the promenade closed about five years ago, she moved to the store\u2019s current location on Sunset Manor Drive.<\/p>\n<p>Operations at that store are now winding down.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re keeping regular hours, but I don\u2019t know for how much longer,\u201d Matheson said.<\/p>\n<p>Matheson said the store would be open regular hours through Jan 24, but after that she wasn\u2019t sure. She said she has a firm departure date of Jan. 31.<\/p>\n<p>Matheson said she has several part-time employees and helpers who will no longer be working with MotoPhoto.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s mostly me (running MotoPhoto) but I do have a part-timer who is going to be doing substitute teaching (instead),\u201d Matheson said. \u201cMy other part-timers either have full-time jobs and just help me on the side or are college students who help me when they\u2019re home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Matheson said the departure from a physical store feels bittersweet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is such a great business, my customers are awesome,\u201d Matheson said. \u201cI\u2019ve had a lot of people coming in from day one who would come and bring their kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some of those kids have since grown up and now frequent the store with their own children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s always been really cool to me,\u201d Matheson said. \u201cBeing able to be part of people\u2019s families and feel like they\u2019re part of mine.
