Born on March 26, 1953, in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico,\u00a0Eddie was the son of the late Carmelo and Ana (Ortiz) Cruz.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie was the devoted husband of the late Esther Cruz and a loving Dad to three daughters. Ana James wife of Bill James,\u00a0Jennifer Cruz wife of Justin Bachman, and Christina Cruz. He was a proud Papa to Jayson, Ivalis,\u00a0Jayden, Isabella, and Indigo, and a cherished great grandfather to Caden, Jackson, and Adelia.\u00a0He is also survived by his siblings, Yolanda Cruz and Carmelo Cruz.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie dedicated over 30 years of service to the Allentown Housing Authority and was honored\u00a0with a Citizens Award from the Allentown Police Department in recognition of his bravery in\u00a0the community. He enjoyed music, photography, and was especially fond of capturing images\u00a0of lighthouses. Eddie was also an active community member of the Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks in\u00a0Bethlehem.<\/p>\n<p>Eddie will be remembered for his kind heart, warm smile, and deep love for his family. His\u00a0memory will live on in all who were blessed to know him.<\/p>\n<p>A Celebration of Eddie\u2019s life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway, Fountain Hill, PA 18015. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M., with the service beginning at 2:00 P.M.
