{"id":95013,"date":"2026-01-23T21:43:08","date_gmt":"2026-01-23T21:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/95013\/"},"modified":"2026-01-23T21:43:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T21:43:08","slug":"snow-emergency-declared-in-bensalem-township","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/95013\/","title":{"rendered":"Snow Emergency Declared In Bensalem Township"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>      Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo issued the snow emergency Friday in the wake of this weekend&#8217;s winter storm.    <\/p>\n<p>\n      Jan 23, 2026 1:52 pm EST | Updated Jan 23, 2026 2:21 pm EST    <\/p>\n<p>BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA \u2014 Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo has signed a &#8220;Declaration of Disaster Emergency&#8221; in advance of the impending snowstorm forecast to hit the region this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The National Weather Service said the region may receive between 12-18 inches of snow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-subscribe\"><a href=\"https:\/\/patch.com\/pennsylvania\/bensalem\/subscribe?utm_source=amp&amp;utm_campaign=subscribe&amp;utm_medium=mobile&amp;utm_term=subscribe_in_article\" class=\"article-subscribe-link\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Subscribe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The mayor said that Bensalem Township has activated all emergency preparedness operations to ensure the safety of residents and visitors. <\/p>\n<p>The Bensalem Police Department has established its Emergency Operations Center and will be fully staffed to respond to any incident throughout the storm. <\/p>\n<p>Residents are encouraged to plan ahead and use caution if travel is necessary:<\/p>\n<p>Allow extra travel time and slow down<br \/>\nClear snow and ice from your vehicle before driving<br \/>\nAvoid unnecessary travel during hazardous conditions<br \/>\nCheck on elderly neighbors and those who may need assistance <\/p>\n<p>Mayor DiGirolamo said that the township&#8217;s police officers and emergency partners remain ready to respond to the storm.
