{"id":96100,"date":"2026-01-25T06:15:23","date_gmt":"2026-01-25T06:15:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/96100\/"},"modified":"2026-01-25T06:15:23","modified_gmt":"2026-01-25T06:15:23","slug":"arthur-smith-expected-to-become-next-offensive-coordinator-at-ohio-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/96100\/","title":{"rendered":"Arthur Smith expected to become next offensive coordinator at Ohio State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arthur Smith is headed back to college.<\/p>\n<p>The former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator is expected to become the next OC at Ohio State, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Smith spent the past two seasons as Mike Tomlin&#8217;s offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh after a three-year stint as Atlanta Falcons head coach.<\/p>\n<p>Smith had garnered interest in the NFL&#8217;s <a class=\"nfl-o-cta--link nfl-o-cta--underline\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/nfl-coaching-gm-tracker-latest-news-interviews-developments-2026-hiring-cycle\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">head coaching cycle<\/a> this year, interviewing for HC roles with the Arizona Cardinals and Tennessee Titans. He also interviewed for the offensive coordinator position with the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, Smith will head to one of the perennial contenders in college football.
