Lower Merion is among a few notable exceptions, along with Phoenixville and North Penn, choosing to hold virtual classes.<\/p>\n<p>Accumulation estimates ranged from 8 to 12 inches late Sunday afternoon, shutting down roads and impacting other critical infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Monday, January 26, 2026, will be a virtual instruction day for the Lower Merion School District,&#8221; the district shared. &#8220;Students should join their classes online. All school buildings and offices are closed. Right At School, community swim and all extracurricular activities are canceled for Monday.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The district&#8217;s School Messenger program is down, officials added.<\/p>\n<p>Nearby, local districts like Radnor, Tredyffrin-Easttown, Colonial, Souderton, Hatboro-Horsham, Abington, Wissahickon, Upper Merion, Lower Moreland, Norristown, Perkiomen Valley, Spring-Ford, Pottsgrove, and Upper Moreland will have traditional snow days with no virtual instruction.<\/p>\n<p>No determination has been made yet for Tuesday classes.
