BETHLEHEM, Pa. \u2014 A powerful winter storm blasted the Lehigh Valley on Sunday<\/a>, blanketing roads, closing the airport and covering the region with more than a foot of snow.<\/p>\n

The heavy snowfall ended Sunday night, though a cold weather advisory remains.<\/p>\n

The storm dropped a record-setting 11.8 inches of snow on Lehigh Valley International Airport, breaking the old record of 10.4 inches for the date set in 1988.<\/p>\n

Some areas saw 12 to 17 inches of snow across the Valley.<\/p>\n

Here are the latest snow totals from the National Weather Service<\/a> reported as of early Monday morning:<\/p>\n

Cold weather advisory<\/p>\n

A cold weather advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Wednesday, with wind chills of 5 to 10 degrees below zero expected.<\/p>\n

The advisory covers parts of east central and southeast Pennsylvania, along with parts of central, northern and northwest New Jersey.<\/p>\n

Extensions to the advisory are expected, according to the weather service, and could be upgraded to an extreme cold warning for Wednesday night and\/or Thursday night.<\/p>\n
