A winter storm that swept through the Lehigh Valley<\/a> this weekend left close to a foot of snow across much of the region, with some areas recording nearly 17 inches.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s according to local observations published by the National Weather Service<\/a> early Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Lehigh Valley International Airport, where the weather service\u2019s measures for official records, reported 11.8 inches. <\/p>\n

According to trained weather spotters, Bushkill Township and Saylorsburg tied for the highest snowfall totals, each receiving 16.8 inches by late evening. Danielsville wasn\u2019t far behind with 16.1 inches reported at 11 p.m., hours after the snow had tapered off for most of the region. <\/p>\n

Northern areas of the Lehigh Valley saw substantial accumulation. North Catasauqua recorded 15.4 inches, while Tatamy measured 15 inches. Nazareth received 14.1 inches by 7:40 p.m.<\/p>\n

Across the Poconos, Mount Pocono reported 14.5 inches, and Delaware Water Gap measured 14 inches. Pocono Pines recorded 13.5 inches, and Stroudsburg saw 12.8 inches.<\/p>\n

In other parts of the Lehigh Valley, Germansville received 14.2 inches, and Emmaus measured 13.3 inches. Forks Township reported 13.3 inches as well, while New Tripoli saw 12.5 inches.<\/p>\n

Easton and Martins Creek each recorded 11.8 inches. Bath measured 11.5 inches, and Williams Township reported 11 inches.<\/p>\n

Lower totals were recorded in Bethlehem Township with 10 inches, Weisenberg Township with 10.8 inches, Salisbury Township with 10.6 inches, and Hellertown with 9.9 inches.<\/p>\n
