\n\t\t\t\t\t\tResidents on part of Highridge Street in Pittsburgh’s Spring Hill neighborhood spent much of Monday shoveling their street, since they said a plow has not touched it.\u201cThere\u2019s so much. I fell on my face, like, a million times trying to walk,\u201d said Caroline, the daughter of one of the shovelers. They told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter Felicity Taylor they took matters into their own hands after the only plow they’ve seen skipped their block.\u201cIt\u2019s very taxing, especially with the snow so high,\u201d said Sidney Farmer. \u201cI mean, I think we got 12 inches over here. It\u2019s really heavy snow. We\u2019ve used all the tools we\u2019ve had in our shed, our wheelbarrow, and even that\u2019s taxing.\u201dResidents said their neighborhood often feels forgotten during major snowstorms \u2014 they are steps away from Ross Township. \u201cWe understand they\u2019re busy and this and that,\u201d Ray Sansone said. \u201cBut it was well overdue that you can at least make a quick pass through here and give an opening.\u201dSansone said he thinks city leaders should cut funding elsewhere and put more into snow removal. \u201cI have a strong suggestion that maybe council ought to forfeit some of their raised money this year and buy a truck for your own districts,\u201d he said.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
