Law enforcement officials have released surveilance footage in the hopes of identifying a man who, police claim, was engaged in an argument at a gas station in Philadelphia’s Hunting Park community on Jan. 21, 2026, and left the scene, before returning to the scene and making threats with a firearm.<\/p>\n
Police shared surveillance video from the incident on social media on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
According to police, the incident unfolded at about 1:54 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at a Luke Oil gas station, located on the 4400 block of North Broad Street.<\/p>\n
At that time, officials said, a man — described by police as being about 40 to 50 years old, bald and having a medium build, while wearing a gray hoodie and blue sweatpants — was allegedly engaged in an altercation with another customer and employees at the gas station.<\/p>\n
In the midst of this argument, officials said, the man allegedly said he was going to “come back with a gun” and he left the scene. <\/p>\n
However, about 15 minutes later, the man returned to the gas station to find the customer he had been in an argument with had left, officials said. <\/p>\n
The man, as can be seen on the surveillance footage, then entered the gas station and aimed a gun at a worker in the shop. <\/p>\n
The man, police said, also made threats to the worker at that time. <\/p>\n
After making threats, officials said the man left the station on foot headed eastbound on West Wingohocking Street. <\/p>\n
