\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tHARRISVILLE ABOUT WHAT THEY\u2019RE SEEING. SNOW, SNOW AND MORE SNOW. COUPLE THAT WITH THESE EXTREME TEMPERATURES, WILL OUR BUTLER COUNTY RESIDENTS DEALING WITH IT ALL? IT\u2019S BEEN A WHILE SINCE WE\u2019VE HAD THIS MUCH SNOW, BUT I MEAN, PENNSYLVANIA. THOSE IN HARRISVILLE SAY ON SUNDAY THEY SAW ABOUT A FOOT OF SNOW. THEN MONDAY CAME AND SO DID ANOTHER 2 TO 4IN OF SNOW. THAT SNOW LIGHTING UP TODAY. BUT IT WAS THE COLD THAT PRESENTED A CHALLENGE. THE SNOW IS NOT SO BAD TODAY. IT\u2019S A LITTLE COLDER TODAY THOUGH, FOR SURE. I JUST KEPT MY HEAD DOWN AND KEPT GOING. I JUST WANTED TO GET MY CAR OUT, BUT EVEN THOUGH IT FEELS BELOW FREEZING, IT WAS THE FIRST DAY RESIDENTS COULD CLEAR THEMSELVES OUT SO THEY KNEW THEY JUST HAD TO GET THE JOB DONE. I\u2019M JUST RUNNING THE SIDEWALKS ON THE MAIN STREETS AND JUST CLEANING THEM OFF. THERE\u2019S ALMOST TWO FEET OF SNOW OUT HERE, AND A LOT OF PEOPLE JUST CAN\u2019T SHOVEL. AND A BIG SENSE OF COMMUNITY IN THE TOWN. NEIGHBORS HELPING EACH OTHER PLOW OUT OF THESE CONDITIONS. I HAD THE MACHINE OUT TODAY, AND I JUST FIGURED I MIGHT AS WELL JUST DO THE SIDEWALKS. IT\u2019S THE PERFECT SIZE. EVERYTHING JUST CAME DOWN PRETTY HARD. AND, YOU KNOW, WE\u2019RE ALL HELPING EACH OTHER OUT NOW. RESIDENTS AND THOSE IN THE AREA I SPOKE WITH SAY IT\u2019S GOING TO TAKE THEM DAYS TO COMPLETELY CLEAR THIS AMOUNT OF SNOW OUT COVERI\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\tResidents of Butler County are dealing with significant snowfall and extreme temperatures, with some areas receiving nearly two feet of snow over the weekend.”It’s been a while since we’ve had this much snow,” said Derek Shaffer. “But, I mean — Pennsylvania.”In Harrisville, neighbors reported about a foot of snow on Sunday, followed by an additional 2-4 inches on Monday.While the snowfall eased up Tuesday, the cold temperatures posed a new challenge.”The snow is not so bad today. It’s a little colder today, though, for sure,” said Shaffer.Despite the freezing conditions, residents took advantage of the first day they could begin clearing the snow, determined to get the job done.”I just kept my head down and kept going. I just wanted to get my car out,” said Shaffer.”I’m just running the sidewalks on the main streets and just cleaning them off,” said Alex Coulter, who used a Bobcat to move the snow. “There’s almost 2 feet of snow out here, and a lot of people just can’t shovel.”The community spirit in the town was evident as neighbors helped each other plow through the snow.”I had the machine out today, and I figured I might as well just do the sidewalks.
