{"id":99565,"date":"2026-01-29T08:48:07","date_gmt":"2026-01-29T08:48:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/99565\/"},"modified":"2026-01-29T08:48:07","modified_gmt":"2026-01-29T08:48:07","slug":"school-briefs-1-29-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-pa\/99565\/","title":{"rendered":"School Briefs 1\/29\/26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Alvernia University<\/p>\n<p>Robert Klinkel of Carbondale was named to the dean\u2019s list for the fall 2025 semester while studying early childhood education and special education.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the dean\u2019s list, students must carry a semester grade point average of 3.5 or better.<\/p>\n<p>Commonwealth University<\/p>\n<p>The following local students were named to the fall 2025 president\u2019s list:<\/p>\n<p>Olivia Deprato, Peckville, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nKylie Jenkins, Jessup, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nChaz Kaszuba, Archbald, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nBrianna Sears, Jermyn, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nAnna Trauger, Dunmore, CU-Bloomsburg.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the president\u2019s list, students must earn a grade point average of 4.0 in 12 or more semester hours of letter grades.<\/p>\n<p>The following local students were named to the fall 2025 dean\u2019s list:<\/p>\n<p>Gianna Gallo, Carbondale, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nJuliana Grier, Greenfield Twp., CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nTaylor Grier, Greenfield Twp., CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nMadelyn James, Jermyn, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nEmma Jarosh, Eynon, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nAshley Lo, Dunmore, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nSean Mackinder, Archbald, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nTimothy Marone, Dunmore, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nAnthony Mauro, Archbald, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nHannah McCaffrey, Carbondale, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nAubrey Moase, Carbondale, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nGrace Moses, Archbald, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nPaige Pezanowski, Carbondale, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nJoseph Trichilo, Simpson, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nMax Urbas, Browndale, CU-Bloomsburg.<br \/>\nTristan Canavan, Dunmore, CU-Lock Haven.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the dean\u2019s list, students earn a grade point avaerage of at least 3.50, on a 4.0 scale, in 12 or more semester hours of letter grades.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia Southwestern State University<\/p>\n<p>Derek Drasba of Dickson City graduated during the fall 2025 commencement ceremony on Dec. 12 in the Convocation Hall of the Student Success Center.<\/p>\n<p>Drasba earned a master\u2019s degree in business administration.<\/p>\n<p>James Madison University<\/p>\n<p>Sabrina Cimoch of Forest City has been named to the dean\u2019s list for the fall 2025 semester.<\/p>\n<p>Cimoch is majoring in communication studies.<\/p>\n<p>Students who earn dean\u2019s list honors must earn a grade point average of between 3.5 and 3.899.<\/p>\n<p>Kutztown University<\/p>\n<p>Marisa Matoushek of Carbondale, Celsie Schoffstall of Clifford Twp. and Catie Siracuse of Jessup were named to the fall 2025 dean\u2019s list at Kutztown University.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for the dean\u2019s list, an undergraduate student must have a minimum grade point average of 3.60.<\/p>\n<p>Lebanon Valley College<\/p>\n<p>Logan Fuga of Jermyn was named to the dean\u2019s list for the fall 2025 semester.<\/p>\n<p>Fuga, a graduate of Lakeland Junior-Senior High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in exercise science.<\/p>\n<p>Dean\u2019s list students must maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 out of 4.0.<\/p>\n<p>Marion Military Institute<\/p>\n<p>Jack Doughton of Throop, a Scranton Preparatory School graduate, completed the fall 2025 semester on the college\u2019s president\u2019s list.<\/p>\n<p>The academic achievement requires a perfect 4.0 GPA.<\/p>\n<p>Slippery Rock University<\/p>\n<p>Jessica Trauger of Dunmore was named to the dean\u2019s list for the fall 2025 semester.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the dean\u2019s list, undergraduate students must earn an adjusted semester grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.<\/p>\n<p>Southern New Hampshire University<\/p>\n<p>Sage Bilko of Forest City and Samantha Igartua of Jessup were named to the fall 2025 dean\u2019s list.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the dean\u2019s list, full-time undergraduate students must earn a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699.<\/p>\n<p>The following local students were named to the fall 2025 president\u2019s list:<\/p>\n<p>Melody Demchak, Forest City;
