EAGLE PASS, Texas – A driver has died after being thrown from his vehicle during a crash along SH-151.
Around 11:10 p.m. on Thursday, first responders were called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident along State Highway 151, about 18 miles north of Eagle Pass in Maverick County.
Texas Highway Patrol says that a preliminary investigation revealed a 2007 gray Honda Pilot sport utility vehicle was traveling southbound on SH 131.
Investigators say that the Honda swerved off the roadway into the south bar ditch, then overcorrected back onto the northbound lane, overturning several times.
The driver, identified as Eduardo Guevara Ceballos, 38, from Iowa, was ejected from the vehicle as it overturned. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger was transported to University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. DPS Troopers continue to investigate this fatal crash.
