Sachse city officials updated residents earlier this month on planned improvements to Woodbridge Parkway, outlining the scope and timeline of a roadway project that is nearing the bidding phase.

The update was shared during a come-and-go public meeting held Dec. 11 at the Sachse Community Center, where residents along the project corridor — as well as members of the public — were invited to ask questions and learn more about the proposed Phase 2 improvements.

The project, led by the city’s Public Works Department, will focus on rehabilitating Woodbridge Parkway from Texas Highway 78 to Creek Crossing. According to Public Works Director Corey Nesbit, the project is currently in its final design phase, with the city anticipating advertising for bids in the first quarter of 2026. Construction is expected to begin shortly thereafter.
