Holidays are for giving, and Houk Air Conditioning is giving back to the community in a big way. Through its fifth annual Helping Hands Program, Houk AC is donating free heating and cooling systems to seven deserving families in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The program honors veterans, first responders, teachers, and neighbors who have made a positive impact, but face financial challenges.

Nominations are now open for individuals who meet the program’s criteria. Candidates should face financial hardships, need improved home heating or cooling, own a home valued under $400,000, positively contribute to the community, and be committed to family and neighborhood well-being. Houk AC’s goal is to restore comfort, dignity, and security for those who dedicate themselves to helping others.

Doug Waidelich, President of Houk AC, emphasized the program’s mission: “Many in DFW pour everything into serving others. When they hit rough patches, we want to provide a helping hand. This isn’t just about installing equipment; it’s about restoring comfort and dignity.” Past recipients have received not only HVAC systems but long-term support for their homes.

Selected recipients will receive full HVAC installation, including equipment and labor, a one-year Houk Maintenance Program, and a 10-year parts and labor warranty provided by JB Warranty. This ensures families stay comfortable year-round while reducing long-term costs. The program reflects Houk AC’s commitment to quality, value, and community service.

The Helping Hands nomination form is available online at https://houkac.com/about/helping-hands/ through December. Interested nominators are encouraged to submit details about their local hero and why they deserve support.
