U.S. Senator Ted Cruz claimed to Sean Hannity on FOX News that Democrat billionaire George Soros is helping fund the nationwide protests.
“There’s considerable evidence that George Soros and his network are behind funding these rallies, which may well be riots all across the country.”
Ezra Levin is a co-founder of Indivisible, one of the key organizers of the nationwide rallies.
“There is no greater threat to an authoritarian regime than patriotic people-power,” Levin said.
Police officers were in the area, which is right outside police headquarters, providing security.
