TCU’s game against Baylor at Amon G. Carter Stadium has entered a weather delay because of lightning in Fort Worth.

Thunderstorms are expected in Fort Worth until 2:30 p.m., according to The Weather Channel’s hourly forecast. The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for cities south of Fort Worth, including Mansfield, Burleson and Crowley, effective until 2:45 p.m.

TCU and Baylor had played much of Saturday’s game in rainy conditions before play was suspended with over 13 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

After falling behind 28-10 in the third quarter, quarterback Sawyer Robertson led Baylor on two straight scoring drives. He completed an 18-yard touchdown pass to Jadon Porter in the third quarter and kicker Connor Hawkins converted on a 41-yard field goal to start the fourth quarter to cut TCU’s lead to 28-21.

However, just before the lightning delay, TCU running back Trent Battle broke free for a 65-yard rushing touchdown.

Play will resume with TCU leading 35-21 with 13:42 remaining in the fourth quarter.
