Harris County Sheriff’s Office asks public for information on Thursday’s fatal discovery

HOUSTON – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office have opened a homicide investigation after a deceased man was found inside a car fire Thursday morning.
Deputies said they found the man with a gunshot wound after Houston firefighters extinguished the flames.
The fire was reported on Fellows Road and Del Papa Street around 4 a.m.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators are working with the Harris County Institute of Forensics Sciences to identify the man and what led up to the shooting.
At this time, officials have not determined a motive or a suspect.
